Providing Christian Counseling

in Baltimore and virtually across Maryland

Compassionate & Innovative treatment

You’re in the right place.

You have been struggling with something big and don’t know where to turn. You have attempted to address it on your own. You have read books, listened to the podcasts, prayed, and talked with friends.  You may have spoken with your Pastor, who was supportive but didn’t know how to help you.  Or maybe you shared this with someone who responded with blame, fear, or dismissal.  Perhaps you haven’t been able to bring yourself to tell anyone else–because it’s too embarrassing or too private.  You may even worry that your symptoms are a sign of weak faith.

The thought of meeting with a licensed mental health provider might be uncomfortable–you know they are highly skilled, but would they understand your faith?  Would they grasp how your struggle impacts your beliefs and relationship with God?   But you know that you need help.

What if there were another option?

Discover the difference of

Christian Counseling

I work with Christian clients who seek freedom from the past and peace in the present through a unique combination of therapy and faith-based counseling.   Through multiple therapeutic modalities, I help you find healing for all aspects of you:  mind, body, emotions, and spirit.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Theology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work,  I am uniquely qualified to address your mental health needs, while honoring your spiritual beliefs.

I am trained in multiple therapeutic modalities which allow me to help you better.  We will use the approach(es) that suit you best:  body-based methods, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, trauma-informed therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Having worked years in hospice, health care and counseling,  I have accompanied many others through struggles, tragedies, and questions of life. While everyone’s situation is unique, I am well-accustomed to hearing difficult things.  You need not worry about overwhelming me.

With the heart of a healer…

Clients respond to my sensitivity, patience, and gentle approach.  They feel safe enough with me  to speak aloud what they have previously kept secret . They often remark that they “feel a weight lifted” from them once they start to  talk about what brings them in.

I move therapy at my client’s pace. I suggest and invite, rather than assume, direct, or pressure. Clients feel comfortable speaking of God and their faith journey, knowing that a fellow believer listens with understanding.

If you are seeking a safe space to unburden and grow, I am ready to help you.

Healing Presence Counseling

At the heart of my therapeutic approach is the relationship I build with my clients through Presence.  More than any specific method, offering a space of listening, openness, and acceptance helps someone relax into the process of healing.
